The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis partnered with the National Geographic Society and the Environmental Systems Research Institute to create an internationally available traveling map exhibit; “National Geographic Maps: Tools for Adventure.” The exhibit is an impressing 4,000 square feet and open to children and their families. The exhibit is interactive and gives little explorers and their parents a chance to understand mapping basics, connect with present day adventurers, and chart their own journeys. Children enjoy learning about maps as resources that can help them share information and solve problems.
